Outside of his professional responsibilities, Steven Cash Nickerson leads the David H. Nickerson Foundation, an organization he founded in memory of his father, who died as a result of prostate cancer.
The David H. Nickerson Foundation endeavors to increase awareness of prostate cancer and support research aimed at developing a cure. Since its formation in 2008, the foundation has raised in excess of $275,000 for its work, which includes helping to advance care in the Division of Urologic Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis’ Barnes-Jewish Research Hospital.
To ensure it continues to provide valuable financial assistance to those who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, the foundation hosts the annual David’s Cure Golf Challenge & Tennis Classic.
